At CAAGe, as well as taking action ourselves and supporting victims. we add our support to existing campaigns raising awareness of adult grooming, campaigning for changes in law, and to other campaigns we feel with have a positive impact on the victims of grooming, or contributing to prevention.

    The Government’s Illegal Migration Bill is entering its final stages in parliament. Important amendments have been secured to protect the rights of modern slavery survivors.

    The House of Commons has opportunities in to accept amendments, safeguarding the rights of modern slavery survivors.

    The Salvation Army believes that rights available to victims of modern slavery don’t belong in an immigration Bill and call for them to be removed.

    Write to your MP calling for the Government to support new measures and remove provisions relating to modern slavery from this Bill.

    Acknowledge wartime sexual slavery

    Urge Prime Minister Shinzo Abe/ the Japanese Government to acknowledge the “comfort women”and officially affirm that Japan’s Imperial Army engaged in systematic human trafficking for the sexual enslavement of women and girls in WWII military “comfort stations”, calling for prosecution of the perpetrators, apologies to to the survivors and bereaved families and accept historical responsibility for this institutionalized sexual slavery.
