Take action to support the Campaign Against Adult Grooming.

1. Sign a petition and add your voice

There are numerous campaigns that we are happy to add our voices to because we believe that this would make a difference in the prevention of, or justice for, the grooming of adults.

2. Write to your MP

Write to your MP to ask them to help make the grooming of adults illegal. This site makes it easy:  https://www.writetothem.com/

(We will imminently be launching a campaign where this will be important - please sign up for our newsletter below.

3. Tell your story of being groomed

We'll work with you to work out what’s appropriate and how to keep you safe: Contact us.

(Not that we will imminently have private community spaces for mutual support for both victims/survivors and their families.)

4. Contribute an article to this site

Experts: We welcome articles from those with expertise in helping people over the trauma of discovering they've been groomed, advice on avoiding being groomed, rights etc.

Reviewers: we are always looking for people to help us with book reviews, TV series reviews, film reviews and literature summaries.

If you have been groomed or someone you love has: we want to share your story in a way that is appropriate to you. You will have control at every stage. (We regret that we cannot usually name your abuser for legal reasons)

To discuss a contribution, contact us.

5. Share and Support

  • Contribute to debates on Facebook and on Twitter.

  • Share what’s on our website.

    6. Join us

i. We have ambitious plans to make this campaign a success. That takes time and work. If you'd like to volunteer, want to help, we can find a way to make that happen, contact us.

Examples of roles might include helping us with publicity (particularly PR professionals with some ‘charity’ hours to spend and social media support, including content creation), extra hands for telephone support, and absolutely vitally, someone to help us keep financial records. We are also starting to plan for a conference in 2025.

ii. We are looking for a wide range of counsellors - find out more at the end of our counselling page, HERE

iii. We are keen to find suitable legal professionals to support our community of victims and keep us in line here at CAAGe!

iv. We will soon be looking for more private investigators to help serve our service users.

v. We will soon be looking to create an advisory board.

vi. We are looking for some research and admin support to help people know where to report problems on dating sites. Even if you only volunteer to take on one, it could be the one that saves someone’s sanity! The CAAGe reporting to dating sites project

7. Help us financially

Although we are not yet a formal charity, we are a volunteer organisation, if you would like to help us financially you can:

i. If you would like to help us with a specific cost of running CAAGe, such as the website, phone bills etc, publicly recognised or privately,we would love it.

ii. If you would like to sponsor an individual victim/survivor through their counselling by paying the counsellor directly, CAAGe can facilitate this.

Please contact us

8. Contribute to a page

If you have information that would help us improve a page, including stories, articles or research, that will help people understand the subject, help victims or clarify the legal position, we would be delighted.

We are happy to make links to appropriate pages and link to relevant resources - our only criteria is that it falls in line with our objectives.

9.Add your experience of grooming to inform our research….

Research into Adult Grooming - victims/survivors, have your say.
